January 6, 2003, 6:54 pm

The victims of the worst terror attack in Israel in the last 12 months were evacuated to the nearest hospitals and medical centers after Sunday evening's double suicide bombing in a working class district of Tel Aviv (the old Central Bus Station area). This neighborhood is home to many of Israel's foreign workers. Sheba Medical Center received 14 victims, 7 of whom had minor injuries and were suffering from shock. Most of them have now been released. The remaining seven patients underwent hours of surgery in which Sheba physicians from all specialty fields fought to save their lives.
